Dun Dan

Posted Sunday, August 1st, 2010

Spent whole morning in Ipoh stuffing our tummies with assorted dim sums, the rest of the afternoon would be something more laid back.

With the rest of my family members telling me to stop bringing to restaurant anymore, but since I was the driver, so I had the final say. Keke. We went to this famous old kopitiam, Tin Chun at Jln Bandar Timah. When we were there, we hesitated to enter because I wasn’t sure if it’s the correct kopitiam. Only when I saw the food that I wanted my family to try, I signaled the rest to enter.

The kopitiam is packed and crowded with people when we entered. Luckily we managed to get a small table without waiting fy or long. A lady came and took order. I don’t know what is the custard called in Cantonese (my Cantonese getting rusty d T_T ) so I pointed to the lady. She then said, “ohh.. Dun dan! Yiu kei kor?” (Oh, egg custard. How many you want?)

We were still full from the dimsum we had earlier, so I told her two. She came back 5 minutes later with 2 plates of dun dan.

12-hours-makan-all-the-way trip!

I’m super fulllllllllllll!

Just came back from 1 day trip to Ipoh for makan-makan session! We ‘flew’ from one place to the others. Some are good, some are erm.. disappointing. Some are closed, but already made up our minds to visit them next time.

We even visited the caves, giving our tummies some time to digest them before starting eating again. Lol

I’ll specifically cover them one by one soon! Right now I need to shower, finish up my Indon posts and pre-pack for my coming trip!

See you!
