It’s December babehhhh!!! Last month of year 2009! Boy, time really flies! T.T

Went for 1 day ‘cuti-cuti malaysia’ trip. Departed at around 2pm, reached the Port Weld at 3 something. That one hour journey seemed forever. Probably because of hunger. Keke.

It was raining heavily when we reached there. Our initial plan of heading there was to try their mee udang banjir. However the day of our roadtrip is the day where the Muslim had celebration – Hari Raya Haji, therefore the mee udang stalls were closed. Or we didn’t look hard enough. Hmm…

So we settled for this instead!

… at this zinc roofed wooden shed in front of the KTM’s “Port Weld” sign.

The place was crowded with people – assuming that people flocked the area because of good food.

Well, it wasn’t that bad. The assam laksa is very sour though, curry mee tasted abit from Penang’s curry mee – not the best for me, but good enough for the people of Kuala Sepetang. We heard one of the local asking for home delivery from the seller there. Real ganas.

It was still raining when we got down off our car, but stopped by the time we finished our late lunch. Seeing the blue sky, we checked out the village and came across this spectacular view.

.. which greatly reminded my mum of her hometown. She began telling us stories on her kampung used to be like that before they got burnt down by fire. I would love to stay for weekends at my granny’s if her house faces sea! Well, in this case, facing a floating village.

While snapping around, suddenly I heard this big splash! Surprised, I lowered my DSLR to find myself looking at this man swimming on the river!

And he was doing this stunt, that stunt – probably because of few people (besides me) taking pictures of the area. I took 1-2 pictures of him, but when he looked at me, I paused and lowered down my DLSR. Lol.

He then swam back to the jetty of the floating village like awhile.

We actually thought of paying 10cents (per person) to get ourselves to the floating village. However, mum rejected the idea after seeing the big waves generated by big, fast boat. So, we decided to leave.

While looking around for the last time before leaving, my eyes caught this!

It was really really disappointing seeing people threw sanitary pad into the river! Damn hate it when people take nature for granted. Zzz.

Fact : Kuala Sepetang are well known for their abundance of seafood and cockles (ham). Slurps!

I did mention about the KTM’s Port Weld signboard earlier in the post, but I never show the railway station right? That’s because it’s no longer there – was dismantled totally. But they decided to save the railway signboard and the ticketing booth which has turned into a coffee shop.

Do you know that Port Weld – Taiping railway line – was the first railway line in Peninsular?

I asked my bro that while walking towards the car, and he said “cheh, learnt in Sejarah F3 d la.” Lol. Never expect him to remember his Sejarah F3.

We made one last round in Kuala Sepetang aka Port Weld, mentally bid the area goodbye and left for next destination.

Funny thing happened to me today. Here it goes…

I was driving back from work. Like usual, I took the bridge which supposed to be faster way to head home. At 5.30 in the afternoon, the traffic already built up at the ramp going up to the bridge from Bayan Lepas area.

Seeing the massive jam (at least it’s not static), I was kinda ‘stressed out’. Moreover the rude drivers encounter, the hunger pang I had since 4, the insufficient sleep and rest – all attributed to me being very hot tempered. But I managed to keep myself calm and focus by blasting the songs from the radio and constantly telling myself to relax.

The ramp soon connects to the bridge where 2 lanes becomes 4 ‘lanes’. It’s supposed to be 3 lanes, but due to ‘no-white-lines’ drawn on the road, people just squeezed their way through. I was on the outer lane from the ramp; so as I drove further, the traffic became very congested and slow as the lane I was in sort of ‘combined’ with the inner lane of the bridge. But luckily most drivers were patient and tolerant – allowing one car from each lane moved into the middle lane.

When it was my turn, I knew that I could just followed closely to the car in front of me but because I thought that I should be thoughtful and allow the car on my left (a Spectra) to go through, so I slowed down and… to my horror, the car behind the Spectra (which is a Waja) trailed the Spectra so darn closely and almost ‘kissed’ my car.

Seriously, I was very pissed off. I purposely slowed down to see who’s this donkeih driver.

As the Waja drove past me, this ‘face’ greeted me…

There was this fella in the front passanger seat, wore the above mask, flatten his face against the car window and looked at me. Annoyed, I looked back at him – and I saw the rest (in the car) was looking at me too, including the driver. The driver is a cha boh. -.-”

They looked at me probably with the hope to see a shocked/hysterical me or something like that. Well since they wanted a reaction from me, this was what I did…

… with sarcasm behind the smile... where after I ‘smiled’, I frown at them.

And immediately all of them just ‘jerked off’ and talked/laughed among themselves – that I wasn’t sure. From their gesture, I guess I’ve reacted in a way that they didn’t foresee. Lol!

After I drove to outer lane, while they were still on the inner lane – probably finding another ‘victim’ to prank. Haha!

Now, to think of it, I should instantly flash out my handphone in the pretext of taking picture of the ghost-masked-person. Probably that time, he’ll do something differently – like pose for me?

Hahaha!
