When I mentioned Redang, he gave a response that I didn’t expect at all. This was what he said,
ah b haven’t wrote about redang ????
walau
that’s the time i was trying to kau ah b
ahaahahaahahahahahahaha
Cis! That donkeih always tease me, always luan luan crap things to kacau me. Hmph!
After teasing me, he asked me to decide it myself (potongstim nyerrrr). And since I got umph to write bout beach-y thingy, I chose Redang! Haha.
Redang trip 2008 members comprised of two groups departing from 2 states of Malaysia – Penang and KL. Coming from Penang were Lasker and his lovely wife, Elise, the lovebirds – Hugo and Wendy, LeeMay and me. From KL were Satkuru, Aaron, William, Daniel, David and Lisa. Both groups boarded night buses and reached Kuala Terengganu bus terminal early in the morning. When the sky still dark.

We started our journey on 19th of June, and headed to Redang Island with this speed boat on the beautiful sunny morning of 20th of June, 2008.

The whole journey was a total madness! Due to big sea waves, the boat was practically ‘hopping’ through the waves and when we reached the island, our butts felt as tho we’ve just sat on the Osim iGallop. Hahaha.
However, the whole butt-pain journey was really worth taking after seeing the white sandy beaches and the clear blue water and the lovely blue sky~

We stayed at Redang Kalong Resort which I think the resort caters more for the divers than snorkellers. I guess this resort is popular with divers, sort of divers’ meet up point! Lol!
Well, it’s not a bad thing, since the resort is quite secluded and away from the noisy popular Long Beach and human population (Lol), I got to relax and bask my skin under the partially sheltered sun (after applying the sun screen ofcz). Haha.

Besides, what else can we do apart from snorkelling (and diving for the divers with licence) and making sand castles? (Argh we forgotten to do that! T.T)

What? Seeing sea creature? You mean this (see picture below) We spotted abundant there!
That’s David’s palm btw. Lol!

It was soooooo slimmmmmyyyy! If not mistaken, one of us – not me! (can’t recall who) squeezed the poor fellow and water gushed out from its err.. hole?
I’ve been to Redang in 2007, but how can I say NO to this breathtaking place?!

Moreover, I knew that my Redang trip 2008 will be a blast! Well, it was kinda proven true since we have two crazy jumpers jumping off the boat almost each time we went out to the ‘open sea’ for snorkelling.
Here’s Aaron’s famous kungfu jump!

And William’s ops-I-terjatuh jump. Lmao.

(Mr. Leong, don’t keeeel me.. *runzzz and hidezz)
Also, we have with us, Hugo – a real injury prone person yet couldn’t resist himself from posing each time he had injuries!

I’d say almost every snorkelling trip we took pictures – before, during and after the dip. That explained the wet look on these guys’ faces. Lolololol~

And we ended almost every snorkel trip with the group picture.

Oh, I forgotten – the above picture is not the complete group photo. That’s only the snorkellers group photo. Lol! Lasker, Elise and Daniel were off to another boat for diving trip. You know, divers and snorkellers have different place to go; that’s why we got separated.

andddd… I shall continue more on this post another day. Probably 2-3 days later. Haha. Time to sleep now as I need to work tomorrow. T.T Before I jumped to my bed, let me end this post with two sunrise pictures taken with my Nikon S200 (I didn’t get my dslr yet that time). Must appreciate my sunrise pictures as I woke up damn early to take that picture okay! Haha.
Have fun viewing! Muahhhhhhh…

(Hmm.. somehow reminded me of Cambodia Angkor Wat sunrise.. T.T)

Aaron was late, he asked us to go there first and he’ll magically appeared later. Lol!
Wasn’t sure where exactly is Bird Park, we went there with the help of 2 Garmin installed in Nokia E71 handphones. Whose handphones – well, should I name their owners here? Nah.. Lazy. *bleks*
We paid for our tickets and went it.
Aaron did indeed magically appeared 10 minutes later we entered. All were excited about taking nice pictures of the birds. I’m not that ambitious, I just want to take pictures. Lol!
“Sprawling approximately 20.9 acres of verdant valley terrain, the park is divided into 4 zones; Zone 1 and 2 make up the free-flight zone; Zone 3 is the Hornbill Park and Zone 4 is where the birds are placed in separate cages and mini aviaries. “
That’s what I read from the brochure given to us along with our tickets. Moreover, it’s said to be the largest covered bird park in the world. So there’s a reason for me to feel excited right?
But then, why should I be. After all, all I saw was just bird..

..birds…

and more birds! Yeah.. A flock of them.

I noticed there are many types of birds there which I categorised them to,
1. Good at posing when you pointed your camera at them.

2. Proudly showed off their assets to you. Lol!

3. Those ‘excited’ and ‘happy’ to see people visiting their cage.

4. Camera shy, hid behind leaves and bushes.

5. Don’t even bother bout your existence, thus turned their back upon you.

As we were there ahead of their feeding time and we noticed different birds eat at different time, so we arranged our route in a way to not miss their feeding time. Lol.

Again, there were two ways of makan.

The birds can makan ramai-ramai like the flamingos above or makan keseorangan like the poor birdie below.

There are indeed some unique species that I never seen before.

But I noticed few repetitive birds like the one below…

Was kinda disappointed as I thought I can see many types of birds zoning here and there.

Thankfully, there’s something nice that captured my eyes besides all those feather creatures.

Well, only one. Then it’s back to birds, I mean canaries. Those canaries are cute, aren’t they?

Err.. they’re canaries right? I’m so blur! Haha.
I was hoping to see the Harry Potter type of owl, but seemed like I couldn’t find them there. *pouts*

So peeps, if you got nowhere to go for the weekends, give KL Bird Park a try. You’ll never know what species you managed to spot and capture with your camera.
Yeah, I’ve captured one big birdie.
*winks*
DK came back to Penang last Friday for Thaipusam! And after rotting in Penang for days, he only chose to see me the day before he goes back to Cyber. So sedihs.
Haha. That’s actually not true ler. Both of us have been very busy for past few days and were very thankful that we managed to meet up.
The juicy details of our pakthoring will not be disclosed here. P&C!!! Lalalaaa~
By the way, Valentine’s Day is coming soon. Initially, I can’t wait to celebrate this ‘extra-expensive-day’ with him. But UNFORTUNATELY, he’s unable to come back this weekends and I can’t go down to KL too this weekends.
I was disappointed, yes I was. But to think of that, 14th of Feb is too over exaggerated by human beings – all those the fancy dinner, big teddy bear holding hearts, chocolates, expensive flowers and gifts, etc2; totally not worth celebrating on that day.
And so he gave me an earlier gift!
Hopefully this is not the only one ar

No, that bear is a souvenir from Europe, not from him. The rose was in a nice wrapper, but I took it out, put in a glass bottle with the hope that it will bloom after few days. I even cut the wrapper and wrapped it around the bottle and tied the ribbons at the neck of the bottle to beautify the bottle.
I know, I’m very creative and smart for turning a plain glass bottle into such a attractive looking vase! LOL!!! BLEKS!!!!
Does that means we’re not celebrating Vday together this day? No way!!! We will definitely have a post-Vday when we meet again in March. Moreover, like what he always tells me, every time he’s with me is a Valentine’s day to him. Am I right, dear?
Happy Valentine’s day to the attached ones. If you’re still single and available, don’t fret! You can celebrate with your family members like what I’m doing this year. Or with bunch of friends? Who said you have to stay at home with long face just because you didn’t have a date? LOL!!!
Anyway, we went to Mae’s farewell dinner at Lao Sher Tea House situated at one of the shoplots in Burmah Road. Didn’t bring my d60 there, therefore no food pictures today. Paisehs.
The food there is nice. Just that the food is spicy. And I don’t take spicy food. Luckily, I ordered the tomyam fried rice, so it wasn’t THAT spicy (compared to the tomyam mee/bihun/tanghoon soup). So I only kantoi-ed halfway there. LOL.
Meeting Mae for the first time was really a pleasant one. She’s such a sweet, soft-spoken girl, that makes everyone just fall in love with her smile. Am glad that I met her before she heading to Melbourne for studies. Mae, all the best to you and stay happy always.
*yawn* Time to sleep. Goonai~ and stay tune for more.

Familiar ler the clip? LOL. If yes, then where have you seen this clip before?
Yup, you can find it in Jogoya, a famous, expensive Japanese buffet restaurant where they serve variety of food that makes you go ‘mmm….’
As mentioned in title above, I did skip my monday 4pm class (last week) to prepare myself for this mini shouters’ gathering. I expected everyone to dress up for this event, but then when I reached there, I saw some donning jeans and tshirt. Gosh. I felt overlydressed.

Probably it was because we didn’t really set the dress code for this event. *Smack head*
Nevermind then, let me continue talking bout the food. What do you expect from a Japanese restaurant then?

Yes, sushi, sashimi and tuna!!!
Gosh, I can still drool whenever I thought of that sashimi. Since this was my 3rd Japanese buffet (been to Shogun, Saisaki and lastly Jogoya), I avoided taking sushi and concentrated on the raw fish meats instead. Why? Eating sushi makes your tummy full because with the rice, you unable to stuff in more.
After 2-3 rounds of Japanese raw food, we ventured to other ‘departments’ to scout for more delicious food. Among those food available there, I rated the ‘cheese soft shell crabs’ and the ‘otak softshell crabs’ as the top of ‘non-sushi/raw-food’ list. (Hope I got the name correctly. )
One thing in Jogoya that made our dear friend, Satkuru went hohohaha over it was the coconut.

I seriously don’t understand why he couldn’t stop drinking that coconut. He took one the moment we took a ‘tour’ around the restaurant, and continued taking that like nobody’s business. Wanna know how much he drank that night?
6!!!
Goodness. And he complained bout feeling heaty the next day. (Serves you right, *ngekngekngek*
)
That night, we celebrated Aaron’s birthday too! Actually, it was the belated birthday celebration. But hey, better be late than never right? *oops*

Since ‘pushing birthday boy/girl’s face onto the cake’ is part of SO tradition (I didn’t know that at all… hmm), Aaron had the honour of tasting the cake using his face first. Hohoho~

But we’re good to him. We didn’t exactly smash the whole cake onto his face. See, he was happy, everyone was happy. End of story.
Thanks William for the pictures. (erm actually I steal those black framed pictures from his blog. Hahaha!)
By 9.30pm, everyone’s tummy was totally bloated. Steven told us that he had to unbutton his pants bcz it was tooo tight. Haha! Luckily I wore a dress – to cover my ‘sudden-prego-tummy’. Imagine if I were to wear body fitting top there, my tummy will be bluging out! @.@
We walked out of the restaurant at around 11. We continued camwhoring, talking, teasing, ‘shooting’, hugging before saying goodbye. I would love to post up the group photo here but that picture is with Jess. So hang on ya?
But I was wrong. Putrajaya is sooooo damn nice can! It was like entering a sophisticated country. Serious! I was so jakun there, kept ‘gasping’ and ‘wah-ing’ at each and every building I saw.
By 9pm, we managed to secure a very niceeee place to see the fireworks but was being shooed by the RELA workers 20 minutes later. -____- Apparently, we were not allowed to go beyond the gated doors, so had to ‘picnic’ on the open grass field nearby.
We waited and waited and waited for the fireworks to appear but it didn’t. *Sigh. Just as we got lazy waiting (about to fall asleep), the show started. (and I started capturing. Hehe)
That day’s fireworks was presented by China. (Since Olympics opening ceremony so keng, that means their fireworks should be keng oso right?)
I love this – looks like sea urchin~~~

And I thought this phailed – but it turned out just nice. Whee~

This one like flowers or not? Looks like dandelians to me. Hehe~

Imagine a pair of eyes and a smile – what do u get? Smiley face~ LOLOLOLOL!

I cropped this out, cz I wan a vertical picture in this post. Valid reason? HOHOHO~

The whole show took approximately 25 minutes to finish. Most of the pictures turned out blur because I just pressed the shutter release button with my eyes looking directly at the sky. Occasionally I looked through the viewfinder to snap nice pictures, but towards the end, I didn’t really care much bout taking those pictures d. I just leaned on someone’s shoulder and enjoyed the fireworks. Romantic right? Bleks.

The finale is on 29th August. Anyone going?
