Putting the 'licious' in everything

It’s December babehhhh!!! Last month of year 2009! Boy, time really flies! T.T

Went for 1 day ‘cuti-cuti malaysia’ trip. Departed at around 2pm, reached the Port Weld at 3 something. That one hour journey seemed forever. Probably because of hunger. Keke.

It was raining heavily when we reached there. Our initial plan of heading there was to try their mee udang banjir. However the day of our roadtrip is the day where the Muslim had celebration – Hari Raya Haji, therefore the mee udang stalls were closed. Or we didn’t look hard enough. Hmm…

So we settled for this instead!

This is one of the backlog post. And it supposed to be a wonderful trip to somewhere, which didn’t happen. But I’ll still blog about it anyway, since I got the pictures. Lol!

The journey began on Friday afternoon, where B and I battled the bad Friday jam on bridge to head back home in time. We had dinner, went back my home to shower, and then off to the train station.

My stimness look at the station. I was quite sleepy, yet excited. Haven’t been on train for ages!

It was quite packed at the station – with locals as well as the foreigners. While waiting for the train to come, we took pictures! Hoho!

We waited there for like half an hour, then the train arrived. We walked to our coach, which was at the farrrrrrr end! T.T

The moment we walked into the coach, to be frank – I was half stunned and half amazed. Stunned cz I never expect the sleeping coach would be like this. Amazed cz I know it’ll be one pretty amazing ride. Stunned cz I was wondering how to get up there. Amazed cz a big size ah moh managed to get himself up there!

We knew we can’t be standing on the corridor for the entire night, or at that moment – as people will be walking there, so I prepared to get myself up there. I threw my backpacks up, climbed the mini staircase just to find myself asking B,

“Where do I put my shoes? Takkan leave it there? Later gone then how?”

He was also unsure of where to put.

A man heard our conversation and he pointed to the net at the side and said, “you can keep your shoes there.”

At that moment we felt so jakun and stupid there!  Why didn’t we see that net thingy? ROFLMAO.

I took the blue plastic that they provided, put my shoes in and place it at the net thingy.

Of course I didn’t twist the plastic bag like what B did la. Lol!

And then B climbed to his ‘bed’. (That’s how the phrase “climb to bed” got from laaa.) It was entertaining watching him getting up to his berth. Seeing him twist his body, lifting his leg to get it – while me snapping his photos, it was really fun!

Now I understand why the lower berth costs LOTS more than the upper berth. The amount of space. One could sit up on the lower berth, but need to hunch when sit on the upper berth. I was okay with the space as I’m not claustrophobic. And so do B. *phew*

As I was dreadfully tired, I slept after 30 minutes of goofing and woke up at 3.30 in the morning. -.-”"”" I tried to continue sleeping, but I can’t. Probably I was holding my pee that time, plus I was hungry – that’s why couldn’t continue sleeping. Haha!

So, I woke B up. By ‘psst’-ing him. Lol! But obviously the psst didn’t work because of the loud chuchu-ing. So I resorted to SMS! Which he replied like probably half an hour later. Lol!

We went for super early breakfast. Shared fried rice. Drank hot milo. Was still holding my pee – but didn’t go because the toilet is soooooo small and dirty! I was afraid that if I go in, I might dirty myself IF the train stops abruptly.

The train reached the KL Sentral at 5.30 in the morning. I quickly ran for toilet and blasted all out! (Pee only okay… :P ) Then we got ourselves the KLIA transit ticket to Putrajaya (for a brief stop), before heading straight to LCCT.

It was really a fun time taking train, but it would be better if could get the lower berth lorrrr

*mental note to myself – if ever travel by train again, get lower berth ticket at least a week before departure*

Cambodia Ep 1: PG-KL-Phnom Penh

Posted Thursday, May 14th, 2009

Finally, it’s Cambodia Hour! Yay!
Been dying to blog bout this, just that I didn’t have the time to edit pictures and blog bout them.
*sigh*

However, I’ve decided to blog real short. I’ll just say that 5 of us, Leemay, me, Kurubee, Ailing and Emily boarded the earliest flight to LCC Terminal to meet up with the rest (Aaron and William) before boarding the afternoon flight to Phnom Penh, Cambodia and we had fun in Cambodia.
The end.
Haha!

Nah, you wish it’s short. This will be a super long one.
MUAHAHAHA!

The journey to Phnom Penh took about 2 hours. The plane was full of our local people, their local people and some of the non-local people. Confusing? Nevermind if you don’t understand. Haha. I remembered that during the flight there was a strong ‘ikan masin’ stench that bothered us till Emily suddenly complained bout it quite loud in Hokkien.

Luckily their local people doesn’t understand Hokkien. Haha!

And no, the stench didn’t go away. -.-”

back from hiatus!

Yooooo peeps!
I’m back for erm… a while.
Been busy with other things that left me not much time for blogging. Sigh.
Been very tired and drained and not to mention not having proper sleep for days. But somehow I feel that I should blog something here eventho it’s a rather short one. :)

I realised that I’ve been working for more than a month now. When I went back to my granny’s house for chengbeng 3 weeks ago, one of my relative asked me about my work and what’s my feeling when I received my first hard earned salary. She asked if I felt satisfied and proud when I got my salary?

I told her that I just felt normal. And she gave me this -_-” look.

It’s not that I don’t feel happy for earning my own money. Just that I did earn while working with my dad, so what’s the different with earning money from other people? The end result is important for me, that’s I get money to save and spend and it doesn’t matter if the money is from my dad or other people. Get it?

But one thing that I learnt from working out (as in not with my dad) is how to prepare myself to handle and deal with people with different character. Plus, it’s vital to think ahead in certain times and how to save my butt from troubles.

I enjoyed my working life eventho I have to battle terrible jam on the way to and from work. And eventho I have to face and meet some difficult people, but overall I do enjoy working there. I guess the colleagues that I always breakfast and lunch with, manage to make the worries of battling jams and handling difficult people smaller.

In short, I do look forward to work, really! :)

But still I want to complain!

I FREAKING DON’T UNDERSTAND WHY SOME PEOPLE JUST WANT TO RUSH LIKE MAD TO WORK. DON’T THEY KNOW THAT LIKE THEM, ALL OF US ARE HEADING TO WORK ALSO? WEAVING IN AND OUT OF THE LINE LIKE SIAO LANGS, MAKING THE CAR BEHIND THEM MAKE EMERGENCY BRAKE AND THUS TAKING A LONGER TIME TO REACH WORKPLACE! IT’S TOTALLY UNLOGICAL TO USE 1 HOUR OR MORE TO REACH OFFICE OKAY! ISK!

Ok. End of complain. Lol!

10th April was my beloved Mr. Bf’s birthday! We had a wonderful celebration and THAT I’ll blog other day la. Quite late d, so kinda sleepy. :)

See the cute face… aww.. my heart melt d…

In short last weekends were one of the unforgettable ones, and I truly miss him a lot lot lot (despite the roti canai trick he pulled on me, hmph).

Anyway, I did promise to start blogging on my Cambodia trip this month, but I think I’ll start in few days time – HOPEFULLY. Already done editing pictures on day 1! Below is one of my favourite pictures taken in day 1 *beamed* Lol!

Itu tuk-tuk yang dinaiki oleh cik ai~ cik em~ encik woolala~ and encik liam~!

I ought to head to bed now. Time to sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep people!
Goonai~~~ :)

SkyTrex

Posted Friday, April 3rd, 2009
Gosh! This week was a tiring one! Despite sleeping before midnight every night, I was still freaking sleepy by the end of the day.

*BIG Yawn*

Cambodia post should be up next week, hopefully. Still in the initial phase of pictures editing. Blame on lack of time to edit. Hehe!

Today I shall talk bout Skytrex!

Skytrex Adventure, located in Taman Pertanian Malaysia Bukit Cahaya Seri Alam in Shah Alam, offers an outdoor recreational activity that makes everyone’s heart pumps faster and proves that Charles Darwin’s theory is true!

Lol!

If you’re wondering what nonsense I’m talking about, you’ll know why later. Those who went before will understand gua.

Months ago, (really really MONTHS ago), Satkuru, William and I decided to give a go after hearing/reading about it from Sat’s friend, David who happens to be a volunteer there.

We drove all the way there on a sunny afternoon. After reaching, Satkuru gave his name at the counter and three of us were ‘chauffered’ on a bus to the heart of the reserved forest.

After 20 minutes of bumpy bus ride, the sight of net, ropes and planks greeted us.

We walked towards a small hut where we registered and signed an indemnity form. Then we kept our bags in their locker, got our harness and gloves and walked toward the training site where we’ll be given a short briefing and tried all the obstacles on a smaller scale.

Because there’s a group of people at the ‘training site’, we explored the ‘Little Adventure’ course which caters the kids and took few pictures of the area.

YES, ALL OF US TOOK OUR DSLR THERE! HAHAHAHA!
So damn heavy, but luckily not I carried. Hahaha!

The group took such a longgggg time at the training site that we waited almost an hour there!
@.@

And then it was our turn. It was SOOOOO FUNNNNN! Especially the flying fox. However climbing the net after the flying fox was abit hard for me. I’m not a monkey ler!

Once finished all the obstacles in the training ground, we started our real stinct! Yeah!

In order to clear the whole course, we had to move from tree to tree via few routes suspended from 3m to 22m above ground. These courses totally test our strength, conquer our fear and push our ability to the max!

First, we had to climb a ladder mounted to very long tree! All the way UP to the first platform. It may look easy, but seriously after halfway thru, you’ll feel like giving up. T.T

Then it was the part where I love! The hanging bridge!

How I wished I can took my own sweet time walking through the bridge.
But I CANT since there’s freaking someone yelling CEPAT CEPAT. ZZzzzz… Potong stim.

And then the real deal came. Walking through the zig-zag planks, ‘hopping’ the 2 ft apart planks, walking through swinging logs, flying fox – total of 23 obstacles that will definitely put your body to extreme pains for days. Unless you got a good stamina ler. Hahaha!

However, if you’re the ‘chicken’ type of person or realise that you unable to overcome your fear, there’s always a exit point for you to cabut. Haha.

We finished the whole course at around 4 something, if not mistaken. It rained soooo heavily after that. IT was really blast, but it WOULD be better if we weren’t rush to finish up the whole thing faster due to the weather la. zzz.

Conclusion, SkyTrex is indeed MUST-TRY activity if you’re the adventurous seeker. If you’re not, you can still try it – for fun. Lol!

P/s – Didn’t take much picture as my dslr is carried by Sat while doing the challenges and Satkuru stopped talking pictures after being rushed and I didn’t get pictures from William.
