Sudden crave for Korean food! ROFL.

Because of the crave, I shall blog about Korean food today! Haha!

Last year, after visiting the hot air balloon thingy, we went for lunch at Haeun Khon Restaurant on the 3rd floor of Amcorp Mall.

The food is delicious and surprisingly affordable too! I was thinking oh my, gonna burnt a hole in the pocket but I was quite stunned to know that the set costs like under RM20?! :D

Ah, now I crave for Korean food even moreeeee! Oh My BIBIMBAPPPPPPPP!

The Homecoming

Posted Thursday, December 30th, 2010

It’s not easy going back to a place that you’ve left for many years. I always have the feeling of going ‘home’, but the skeptical part of me held me back. I’m afraid of what people would think of me for coming back after all these years. I’m afraid that my friends would alienate me for leaving. I’m afraid I would be left alone should I decide to return.

Little did I know that I would overcome these fears and make a comeback to the 33rd Incovar Dhamma Camp.

Seriously, it’s not an easy feat to return. Just when I thought I could attend this camp with a peace of mind, works started pilling in and even gave up the thought of attending the camp as the work is too much for me to handle.

Call it destiny, fate or what; but two days before going to camp the work began to clear up (tho still much, but it got lesser) and I decided to bring work to camp and promised myself not to let go self-satisfaction over work.

So there I was- attending the camp with a laptop, squeezed time here and there in between programs for my work. Thankfully (or unfortunately), I wasn’t the only one with laptop and with the eager look to finish up work, lol.

Remember earlier I spoke about my fear of people’s backlash of my comeback? They seem almost nonexistent. Almost, I say is because there are some asking why I return, but I quickly brush them aside with jokes. :D

Anyway, I was very much welcomeeeeee back to IDC ( :D ) with hugs here and there and I realised that I was not the only one who hasn’t been to IDC for ages. Boy am I glad that there are friends who’re like me, decided to return this camp (so that I’m not alone mah, lol) and glad that someone I don’t want to see wasn’t there too. Yippieeee! :D :D :D

After all those welcome hugs, I went up to my dormitory just to find that I was instantly put on gruesome faci briefing. I call it gruesome since my brain wasn’t really worked yet that morning and was asked few questions that required thinking.

But boldly, I told them I’ve almost forgotten everything I’ve learnt and jokingly told it’s best for them to refresh them to my mind, rather than wasting time waiting for me to generate them answers. They laughed and started inputting info after info into my brain.

I was like a sponge that morning, absorbing as much info as possible, lol.

I love chocolate. Throw me a chocolate when I’m upset and I’ll be grinning from ear to ear later. Lol. Sat knew this weakness of mine, so he brought me to a chocolate-y restaurant last year. I fell in love with their chocolate drink that when the gang suggested for a place to meet up, I grabbed the opportunity to visit there again.

Okay, this post is super backdated. We went on 28th June 2009 but somehow I’ve overlooked this post. Hmph.

6 of us went there and seated on this comfortable sofa. We took quite some time to order, since we’re quite indecisive on what eat. Then we toyed the big guns a little while waiting for the food.

i’m like a bird…

Posted Thursday, May 20th, 2010

I always wish that I’m a bird, so that I could fly up and see the ground from above. My wish was granted – not being a bird, but having the ability of looking things from a ‘bird view’; many thanks to the 2nd Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Festival.

You see, looking down from the plane window isn’t counted since sometimes you can see the ground, sometimes you can’t because of the clouds!

Haha. So the day earlier, I purposely boarded the night bus all the way to Kuala Lumpur after work and bunked at my sis’s place for that weekend. The next morning, Sat picked me up and went all the way to Putrajaya for this festival. Upon entering the prominent bridge of Putrajaya, I could see the big balloons like “Levi’s”, “Darth Vader” and so on which got me very excited on it.

Then I told Sat, I wanna take picture with Dark Vader’s head! which he gave me the usual, “luannnnn.

We spent almost an hour stuck in the jam in the car park area. The cars weren’t moving, people were honking and I seriously don’t understand why there’s only ONE entrance for going IN and OUT of the car park area? Can’t they foresee that MANY people would throng the area that weekend?

Obviously I was upset with the jam (I was pretty much calm earlier, but got fed up soon) is because the moment we parked our car, ALL THE NICE LOOKING BALLOONS WERE NO LONGER UP IN THE SKY! I was soooo disappointed as the main reason I insisted on coming to the Hot Air Balloon Fest is to take picture of those cute looking balloons. RWAR!

What’s down were already down. So we headed to the balloon ride area.

It’s been 10 months of emotional turbulence; but everything was paid off when I finally stepped my foot at the Penang International Airport on the night of 12th January 2010.

Together with me were Sat, Ailing, Emily, Elise and Lasker.

Our flight for KUL scheduled to fly off at 10.45pm was delayed an hour. But we weren’t bothered with the delay, for we have the whole night to kill. Everyone was pretty excited, tho some of us were dead tired due to rushing to airport from work. We sat at the tables of closed cafe, chatting about the baby being stuffed into the toilet bowl and Facebooking while waiting for the announcement for embarkation to be made.

At 11.50pm, we were allowed to board and most of them directly dozed off once the plane took off. Despite being so tired, I can’t catch a wink! So did Sat. Both of us were just chatting, giggling and taking pictures (of those who slept). Kaka!

Out of the blue, I felt hungry!

The plane reached LCCT at 12 something. We went around the terminal, finding place to sit and nap, but all seats were occupied! Mardeh betui. So, we cured our hunger by having supper at Old Town LCCT first – hoping there would be seats available after that.
