That’s what greeted me once stepped upon Fred’s House. I said whatever things that came across my mind – Hi, Hello, How Are You?, May I come in, Please, etc; don’t know which one is the correct one, but I was given pass to get on the next stage.
There were few levels that we need to go through that left us wet, ‘painted’ and labeled after leaving Fred’s House.

Ironically, everyone enjoyed this workshop despite being painted on the face/neck/hands, poured over with iced water and were labeled nastily. Imagine if someone were to do to you when you’re LEAST expected it, will you be grinning broadly like this?

That’s Kirks with his ‘tak boleh’ board. And he was smiling broadly in the picture even though his already tagged as tak boleh. Hmm…
What’s mine? Well, that’s for me to know and for you to find out! Hehehe~
WE got so wet and cold after the workshop that we got around 20 minutes break to shower and clean up. Then off we went to the next activity : The Mamak Session.
I personally love the Mamak Session. Why? Cz there you get to hear different thoughts, ideology, views and points generated from a simple topic like “Can you be in relationship with someone of different religion?” and “To date or not during study?“. Sorry, can’t remember the exact questions, so I improvised la. Hehe!
To be frank, I enjoyed the Mamak Session so much till when the MC announced that it was the end of the session, I actually cried ‘potong stim!’. Haha. But I understand why they have to stop the session. It was already time for the next slot – a talk by Datuk Victor Wee.

Hmm.. I don’t have the itinerary with me, so I couldn’t remember the title of the talk. Paisehs. However, he did deliver an informative talk BUT unfortunately everyone was so sleepy and tired after emitting so much energy at Fred’s House. I myself felt soooo bad for ‘fishing’ few times in his talk. I tried my very best to stay awake and focus on his talk, but tiredness took over me. Sigh.
Immediately right after his talk ended, it was raining dogs and cats. So, me and Jaclyn (i think it’s her or was it Wennie? Forgotten d) just laid down flat on the floor and nap! I guess everyone followed our step cz when I woke up there were many bodies on the floor. Haha!
Rest and duty ensuited. Can’t remember where my team was stationed at. If not mistaken it was at the dorm’s corridor. It was fun stopping people from walking along the corridor. They have to wait until the floor abit dry only can walk on it. Hehe~
And so it was dinner and then the puja session. However this puja was different from the morning ones. This was the offering puja, where each and every one of us was going to place an offering on the altar.

This time, it was offering in form of light, candle. And it was a wonderful sight. They purposely dimmed the light in the great hall, making the hall illuminated by those candles only. Very very nice and into the feel.
However, again I want to stress on this – most of us were SO TIRED after a long long day. We somehow ter-doze off while Allex and WeiLoong (it’s weiloong right? haha) doing the chanting. I know it was wrong, again I tried my very bad to listen and meditate, but but but… couldn’t focus. Mind went zzz. Paisehs.
Puja ended, headed back to seminar hall for group sharing and reflection of the day and then that’s wrap up the Day 2 of IDC! Wee~
After the workshop, we had our first talk on ‘Imperfection of Life’. It was meaningful, but most of us didn’t really understand the talk. Probably of his slang or the talk was too deep for us. Hmm.
The second talk, which was given at night after dinner. The title itself was catchy. It was called ‘Kiss the Joy as it flies’, given by Dr Chan. We love her talk, it was very interesting and fun. Although it was short, but it was knowledgeable and understandable.
And that’s all about day 1. Wee~
The next day, we were asked to gather at the hall at 6.15 am for ‘Fiesta d’ roof’. Then the committee led us out from the temple and where we had a brisk walk at the open space nearby before leading us to the roof top of the part.

Then only we realised that the ‘Fiesta d’ Roof’ is the opening ceremony of IDC. Aiseh.

It started with the screening of 29th IDC video, produced by the MEtz team, followed by multimedia presentation. Then the committee, facilitators and helpers introduced themselves.
Followed by oath taking session, led by our camp warden, Jack!

and we sang the Incovar theme song – we inspire! My voice that time was beginning to turn bad, but I just sang like normal.
Suddenly the committees, facis and helpers walked towards us and tied this band around our wrist!

I remembered telling Jingyan that “yikes, we’ve been bought!!!” and even called Allex, “Master Master” cz he tied that band around my wrist.
Done with opening ceremony, we went down for morning puja, breakfast and right after breakfast at 8.30am, we had karaoke session! Haha!
Kidding! We sang songs – not karaoke style, but Incovar style!

Meaning everyone will stand up and do mexican waves, doing hand poses and so on. *You have to come and see it yourself.*
At 9.30 sharp, it was time for the next workshop – My House My Home. Again, catchy title – all wondered what’s instore for us there.
We tried to peek…

But they were smart! They covered with newspapers. We can only sit at the stairs and wait patiently for our turn. *hmph*

What’s in Fred’s House? Well, that I’ll explain in next post. Haha!

Hmm.. Potatoes? And it’s not mashed. Tricky here…

The salad was not side dishes ya. It was our lunch!!! Good for those who wanted to slim down. But too much of salad made everyone want to puke. Luckily QM Chin Aik brought out ‘mayonnaised’ egg as add-on or else everyone would really have hard time chewing those veges down the throat.
Right after lunch, we had our first workshop.

Blindfolded, we were told to find few pieces of puzzles. But how?
Use our ears lor. There’ll be one ‘caller’, yelling at us, giving us direction on where to get it. We just need to listen to his/her voice carefully. I totally bad at this. I can’t really hear Eugene’s voice, but thanks to Janice’s sharp hearing, we managed to get our puzzle! Wee~

That time, the lower hall was practically like morning market. Lots yelling here and there. Callers kept yelling at their guarded blind ones, the blinds yelled back, asking him/her questions.

We had fun walking blindly through the obstacles the facilitators placed for us. I still remembered someone purposely placed his arm and that particular arm banged my head. It hurt okay! Roar!

Well, our group Ultos were the erm… 3rd group to finish arranging puzzles, search words in those jumbled up alphabets and unlocked a hidden word.
Then it was time for punishment. As Shalyn said earlier, there’ll be 4 winner teams and 4 losing teams. She added, “SOME TEAMS will be punished.” Aiseh.. that sentence really tricky can!
And when we knew that the winning team had to do the duck walk, we went on strike! Where got winning teams going duck walk. *cries* So we MOGOK! Shouted NOT FAIR!

But then, Jack managed to convince everyone (all 8 teams) to do duck walk together or we have to finish up the lunch leftover. Which was rather dreadful to them. Haha! Me don’t mind eating those veges though.

That duck walk left me walking side ways when doing up and down stairs. Why? Cause both legs were super duper pain after going through 2 rounds (or maybe 3) of duck walk. It didn’t occur to me to just bent down and run to the other end.
Argh. Stupid me.
Stay tune for next episode of Incovar. Sorry. I’m bit slowwww…. T.T
And so we did. Some in pairs, some in threes with variety of mixture. I mean some got themselves the all-girls-pairs~
Like WenYi and Febri…

Some lucky enough to have girl as buddy, like our kawan, meow here got Karen Lim as his buddy.

Few were not ‘fortunate’ enough. They were destined to stuck together. Let me present you the GAY, i mean guy gang – TatJam, HsienMing and TzaYeong.

Sharlyn asked us to tie the band on our wrist and told us that we have to stick to our buddies from the moment the activities started till it ended. Even if one of the buddies need to the loo, the other half/halves has/have to go with him/her too.
Unfortunately, there were some who were alone, without buddy – because there still participants who weren’t there yet.

Yes, I was buddy-less too. We need to go up the stage and were being paraded like some human slaves. Haha~
Then Daniel was called forward. He already has buddy, sweet and soft spoken girl, KaYin; but seemed like the committees have another plan for him. Apparently he has the parwerrr to choose slave from the ‘open market’ for answering few Qs correctly in an online quiz prepared by the committees.

And so, he choseeeeeee….
ME!
Haha~ I was so shocked can. I remembered calling him, “Master” after dibeli by him. Then I went over to meet my another buddy, KaYin. The rest on stage, paired up among themselves. Sharlyn then continued briefing us, followed by Quartermaster, Chin Aik.
Then something happened.
Don’t know what happened, that caused KaYin to rush forward to take something andddd because we as her buddies didn’t follow her, we got punished. Well, it didn’t occur to us that we have to follow her. We didn’t even know that it was already started. She was just lunged few metres front and grabbed something and that’s it. Well, nobody to blame, just blame for our blurness. Hopefully KaYin understands that we’re not angry at her. As a buddy, we’re gonna share our happiness and punishment together! Wee~
The punishment was to stand on the stage the wholeeee day. I was thinking, how can we stand there whole day. The first speaker gonna walk in soon, and he’s gonna sit there, so no way we’re gonna stand there whole day.
But we’re not the only pair standing there. Kirks and Loh too faced the same punishment. So sama-sama la five of us standing on the stage. Lol. Some got angry, but don’t know why I didn’t feel anything. I mean they’re trying to humiliate us – I can see that, and there’s every reason on why they do this to us; but no point showing grim face. Plus, don’t know why I just knew that we’re not going to stand there the whole day. Haha!
True enough, because next in the list, we’re supposed to come out with group cheer, so we were off to go. Yay~
I belonged to Ultos group, where my team consisted of erm… who d ar? Gosh, memory failing me again. Kidding, I just feel like telling you guys who were in my team the next day ya.
The day finally came. We woke up quite early, quickly got ready for breakfast and registration. While registering, I saw few familiar faces – which made me very happy when I saw them. We were then asked to go to the Seminar Hall by ourselves. Luckily sis Lee Yen told us to go up the stairs and bro Michael asked us to get our butt in the room. Haha!
Upon entering, I saw HsienMing, Jastin, Meow, XiaoThoong and Kirks! We’re like HIEEEEE~ Then I remembered asking them,
“Why you guys make such a small circle and didn’t include everyone in? Come on, let’s make a bigger one!”
And so we did. We asked the rest who was sitting far far far at the back to join us, and started a illegal, ‘underground’ icebreaking session.

Soon more and more people walked into the room and we just casually asked them to join us. But our illegal session was busted by the facilitators (facis) just as our circle was getting bigger and bigger. Yeah, they just walked in and ‘rudely’ asking us to sit with ‘strangers’. How to sit with strangers when we’ve already have illegal intro session earlier. Haha!

Faci – our ‘beloved’ Mr. Jayson then told us that he’s gonna be the bad guy for the day. He talked bout other things too, like those switching places, closed our eyes and craps – but I didn’t really listen to him la. *opsyyy…

Our secretary, TK wrestled the mic from Jayson, asked us to make a big, big circle (like what we did earlier) and told us to introduce our name, what kind of animal we want to be and why?
And we’re like – why animal? @.@

Whether like it onot, we – I mean I still have to stand up and say,
“Hie, I’m Angeline. I would like to be a dolphin bcz almost everyone in the net/ShoutOut calls me so. @.@”
Nice answer? Haha!
I love Daniel’s and HsienMing’s answer. He told everyone that he wanted to be a cockroach while HsienMing proudly declared that he is a cicak. Daniel specially was bombarded for being an insect while they want him to state the animal he wanted to be. @.@

Alvin.. a guy whom I constantly asked to smile, cz he loves to be cool. LOL! And ops… I forgotten what Alvin wanted to be d. Pardon me, my memory didn’t do me justice nowadays. That’s why I need to blog bout this asap or else I won’t be able to tell in details d. So, please send me pictures… T.T
Conclusion, there were lots of dogs and cats and rabbits, few horses, 2 dolphins, 1 cicak, 1 cockroach, 1 ant, 1 butterfly (itu pun kena tembak kao kao), 2 dragons and 1 phoenix. Haha!
Done with animal-wanna-be session, sweet-Sharlyn-turn-bad took over and started to be hard on us. I was shocked with the sudden change in the facis and committees. The friendly, nice and ever smiling committees and facis that I once knew moulala become unfriendly and unreasonable. That’s when I knew they’re UP TO SOMETHING. Haha~

Sharlyn then talked bout something important that we need to do throughout the camp. What’s that? Well, I guess I shall mention bout it in the coming IDC post. Haha~
*note to those who got pics, PLEASE SEND ME GAMBARSSSS!!!! thanks~
