Redang 2008! :)

Posted Thursday, March 12th, 2009
Few days ago, not knowing what should I blogged bout first after looking through my picture gallery, I asked my dear which should I write.

When I mentioned Redang, he gave a response that I didn’t expect at all. This was what he said,

ah b haven’t wrote about redang ????
walau
that’s the time i was trying to kau ah b
ahaahahaahahahahahahaha

Cis! That donkeih always tease me, always luan luan crap things to kacau me. Hmph!

After teasing me, he asked me to decide it myself (potongstim nyerrrr). And since I got umph to write bout beach-y thingy, I chose Redang! Haha.

Redang trip 2008 members comprised of two groups departing from 2 states of Malaysia – Penang and KL. Coming from Penang were Lasker and his lovely wife, Elise, the lovebirds – Hugo and Wendy, LeeMay and me. From KL were Satkuru, Aaron, William, Daniel, David and Lisa. Both groups boarded night buses and reached Kuala Terengganu bus terminal early in the morning. When the sky still dark.

We started our journey on 19th of June, and headed to Redang Island with this speed boat on the beautiful sunny morning of 20th of June, 2008.

The whole journey was a total madness! Due to big sea waves, the boat was practically ‘hopping’ through the waves and when we reached the island, our butts felt as tho we’ve just sat on the Osim iGallop. Hahaha.

However, the whole butt-pain journey was really worth taking after seeing the white sandy beaches and the clear blue water and the lovely blue sky~

We stayed at Redang Kalong Resort which I think the resort caters more for the divers than snorkellers. I guess this resort is popular with divers, sort of divers’ meet up point! Lol!

Well, it’s not a bad thing, since the resort is quite secluded and away from the noisy popular Long Beach and human population (Lol), I got to relax and bask my skin under the partially sheltered sun (after applying the sun screen ofcz). Haha.

Besides, what else can we do apart from snorkelling (and diving for the divers with licence) and making sand castles? (Argh we forgotten to do that! T.T)

What? Seeing sea creature? You mean this (see picture below) We spotted abundant there!

That’s David’s palm btw. Lol!

It was soooooo slimmmmmyyyy! If not mistaken, one of us – not me! (can’t recall who) squeezed the poor fellow and water gushed out from its err.. hole?

I’ve been to Redang in 2007, but how can I say NO to this breathtaking place?!

Moreover, I knew that my Redang trip 2008 will be a blast! Well, it was kinda proven true since we have two crazy jumpers jumping off the boat almost each time we went out to the ‘open sea’ for snorkelling.

Here’s Aaron’s famous kungfu jump!

And William’s ops-I-terjatuh jump. Lmao.

(Mr. Leong, don’t keeeel me.. *runzzz and hidezz)

Also, we have with us, Hugo – a real injury prone person yet couldn’t resist himself from posing each time he had injuries!

I’d say almost every snorkelling trip we took pictures – before, during and after the dip. That explained the wet look on these guys’ faces. Lolololol~

And we ended almost every snorkel trip with the group picture.

Oh, I forgotten – the above picture is not the complete group photo. That’s only the snorkellers group photo. Lol! Lasker, Elise and Daniel were off to another boat for diving trip. You know, divers and snorkellers have different place to go; that’s why we got separated.

andddd… I shall continue more on this post another day. Probably 2-3 days later. Haha. Time to sleep now as I need to work tomorrow. T.T Before I jumped to my bed, let me end this post with two sunrise pictures taken with my Nikon S200 (I didn’t get my dslr yet that time). Must appreciate my sunrise pictures as I woke up damn early to take that picture okay! Haha.

Have fun viewing! Muahhhhhhh…

(Hmm.. somehow reminded me of Cambodia Angkor Wat sunrise.. T.T)

Donning new sexy top and skinny jeans, I checked myself on the mirror making sure that everything was right. Then I sprayed perfume above my head, and did a quick small turn under the fallen fragrance mist.

He looked at me and giggled. Until now, I wasn’t sure why he giggled, but what I knew is 45 minutes later, we were at a very romantic restaurant in the heart of KL city.

*This post supposed to be up 3 months ago, but nevermind. Better late than never.*

I was totally speechless when I walked onto this restaurant. The design of the restaurant – the walls, tables and chairs, decorations – all very Mediterranean. Very old, rusty, ‘historic’ yet comfortable and cosy. It’s as though I was in another country, celebrating my birthday.

My gentleman did all the ordering while I sat back and grinned like pak chi fella. LOL. While waiting for the food, we took picture of the surrounding and of course, a lot of pics of me. Lalalaaa~

which I wont post them up here. Lalalaaaa~

ah well, except for one. LOL. Be grateful cz it’s not one of my SS pic okay!
Bleks.

Anyway, the appetizer was the first to come – garlic bread.

It was so crunchy and delicious! I loveeeeee the garlic bread so much that I swear I feel like ordering more of them. But then coming to this restaurant to eat garlic bread only will be very potong stim. Therefore had to tahan for the main course! :)

And the main course came, after like 30 minutes? Argh, didn’t really time them because we were busy with taking pictures. Erm, I mean I was busy with posing. Haha!

Forgotten what’s the dish called, but I goggled on it and I found that the name is Paella Valenciana! Hoho. Can’t recall how it tasted, but I bet it’s yummeih! :)

Next came the lamb shank – Dark Knight’s favourite. :)

I can still remember the tenderness of this meat. But I’m sure he can describe this dish in more detail than me. Haha.

Despite having such a wonderful meal, I showed him my puffy face and ‘whined’!

Haha. Kidding.

He suggested to have dessert, and being an avid dessert lover, I wouldn’t say NO to the offer.

Dark Knight ordered two. Lalala~~
Hand made chocolate ice cream and…

and … creme brulee~

I had a delicious dinner, fabulous night and wonderful birthday celebration with the greatest guy I ever met (beside my dad). Thanks alot to dark knight for an awesome night. :) *huggies*

ever seen sea-urchin-like fireworks?

Posted Tuesday, August 26th, 2008
Last 2 Saturdays ago, I had the chance to see fireworks at Putrajaya. They’re having this firework competition there at Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC). Never got the chance to see that last year and had heard lots good review bout this event, I decided to travel to that so-called-ulu-place.

But I was wrong. Putrajaya is sooooo damn nice can! It was like entering a sophisticated country. Serious! I was so jakun there, kept ‘gasping’ and ‘wah-ing’ at each and every building I saw.

By 9pm, we managed to secure a very niceeee place to see the fireworks but was being shooed by the RELA workers 20 minutes later. -____- Apparently, we were not allowed to go beyond the gated doors, so had to ‘picnic’ on the open grass field nearby.

We waited and waited and waited for the fireworks to appear but it didn’t. *Sigh. Just as we got lazy waiting (about to fall asleep), the show started. (and I started capturing. Hehe)

That day’s fireworks was presented by China. (Since Olympics opening ceremony so keng, that means their fireworks should be keng oso right?)

I love this – looks like sea urchin~~~

And I thought this phailed – but it turned out just nice. Whee~

This one like flowers or not? Looks like dandelians to me. Hehe~

Imagine a pair of eyes and a smile – what do u get? Smiley face~ LOLOLOLOL!

I cropped this out, cz I wan a vertical picture in this post. Valid reason? HOHOHO~

The whole show took approximately 25 minutes to finish. Most of the pictures turned out blur because I just pressed the shutter release button with my eyes looking directly at the sky. Occasionally I looked through the viewfinder to snap nice pictures, but towards the end, I didn’t really care much bout taking those pictures d. I just leaned on someone’s shoulder and enjoyed the fireworks. Romantic right? Bleks.

The finale is on 29th August. Anyone going?

Harpe dans la musique française

Nearly month ago (hmm… forgotten when d. Hehe), my itchy coursemate, ItchyHandSeng, messaged me through MSN, asking me whether I’m interested to see PESSOC (he’s playing too) rendered few French music. He told me, they invited a beautiful harpist called Katryna Tan and they’re going to play along with her. So he said, it’ll going to be one awesome show.

Since I’m into classical music and I was free (on holiday) that time, I all in!

Initially wanted to drag Lasker, Elise, Wendy along, but 3 of them told me “harp isn’t my best interest“. Maybe it was too last minute as I told them a day before the concert. -___-

However, I managed to tagg the gonggong, about-to-rot-at-home (that time) dugong along! (Dugong, mai keel me ya.. T.T)

The performance was wonderful – although I miss the first song! Arghhh…(okok, I know it’s my fault. Cis) And seeing one big harp at the middle of the stage, really wow-ed me. I know harp is big, but didn’t know that it’s that big until I see it with my own eyes. I was so tempted to go up the stage and pluck the string. :heehee:

Big onot? Majestic lerrrr. The urge was so strong can, but I tahans! Haha!

Overall, I love love love the songs they played that night – although now I already forgotten how’s the tune like, but if given chance, I want to hear them play the whole thing again!

After finish performing, everyone went home lor.. End of story. Haha!

Well, that’ll be for the rest of the audience. Me and dugong stayed for awhile to take pictures with friends who performed that night!

From left – Stephen, me, Huihui, ChenSeng aka Itchy coursemate. Itchy bangga a… cz he’s one of the ‘main’ flutist.

Below picture of 2 PFS kakis. 2 Gheyyy… *runnzzzzzzz

Hmm.. the pictures were dark and blurry – no thanks to the dim lights there. Nevermind then, we’re there for nice, soothing music, not camwhoring session. Haha~

Love attending more and more orchestra plays, concerts in future. So, if you know any nice, interesting plays, concerts going on, please do tell me ya.. :)

Birthday celebration at Chilis, Midvalley

Posted Sunday, June 29th, 2008
Let me start today’s post with a picture…

My birthday? It’s not my birthday cake, but my birthday is coming soon.. *hint hint* LOL! Since this cake didn’t belong to me, then whose birthday cake was this?

Yes, it was Anna and Daphne’s. I supposed to blog bout it eons ago, but but but… don’t know why I didn’t do so. Thousand apologies.

About erm 18 ppl attended this birthday celebration? Shall we name the people who came to this celebration?

We have first of all our 2 birthday girls, Daphne and Anna; Anna’s siblings – Joanna and Matthew; the cameramen – Hungwei, Eugene, Hugo, Daniel, Fattien, Kwong, (although the latter two came in late); Wendy all the way from Penang; Elvie – her first SO gathering!; David (Tomagogame) and Jason (Ichitaka); Jess and Steven – who rushed from Cyber to Midvalley, also their first SO gathering; and of cz me… :)

Hmm… Did I missed out anyone? No right? Okay, let’s continueeee… (I had the feeling that someone gonna whack me for this. *Eerie feeling~)

We sang few version of birthday songs, they huff and puff the candles off and the cake was sent to our dear Wendy for…

and Daphne took this opportunity to feed everyone. Yes, I also kena fed by her. :)

We took lots pictures there. Pictures of food, people, lamp, tables, chairs, forks, spoons – apa pun ada.

We not only captured smiling faces, but different type of facial expressions as well.

Anyway, all of us had a great time there, especially Daphne and Anna. We definitely looking forward for another formal dresscode gathering like these right? Haha!

P/s : Sorry for such a long post. I’m trying to squeeze everything in one post. Paiseh.
P/ss : I know I left out Satkuru – purposely do so. Dugung : u should know why… *rwar~
