Notorious Tour

The moment we heard that Russell Peters is coming over to Asia for spread some happiness over here, we were elated. Soon, the list of the stopover came out and to our dismay, Malaysia is not in the list! Thailand (Bangkok), Singapore and Indonesia (Jakarta) are in the list and Malaysia is none. Of course there are noise directly to Russell Peters himself via Twitter, so I was already checking out the ticket price in our neighbouring country – weighing which show would be cheaper overall (including hotel, accommodation and flight). When I told Satkuru of my decision, he said…

acquaintances

For 3 nights, we had been staying up late until 1am for our committee meeting. On the last night, we started the meeting after midnight due to the party we had earlier, lol. I can’t remember what time it ended, but I know most of us already dozed off when the meeting was conducted halfway through. Everyone was asked to speak up on the camp, but I think such things should be done during post morten meeting. However, how to do post morten meet when not all of us were based in KL or Selangor? So I see the necessity of…

Marmalade Cafe

Instag.ram has been a great source of discovering new places on food. Off and on friends from KL would post up food photo that looks so yummylicious that I almost lick my phone’s screen in mistake. Marmalade Cafe came into my life via Instag.ram. My dear half-sisto posted up photos of the interior design of the cafe as well as the delicious-looking cakes which made into the must-visit-place-the-next-time-I-visit-KL list. After so many moons, I finally had the chance to return to KL for the 33rd Incovar Dharma Camp. Since the camp ended on Tuesday and Wednesday was a public holiday,…

The highlights

Everyone was stunned with what I said and looked at me. A minute later, WeiLoong spoke and allowed me to exchange duty with HooiChia. He did a run-down on the field trip which will be started at 5.30 in the morning before dismiss us. I was still upset by the time the meeting over. I had to call Sat for ‘mental support’ before sleeping. At 5 o’clock, when the bell ran, I woke up too and I could tell that the participants were a little shock and clueless on what was going on when they were told to only brush…

The Homecoming

It’s not easy going back to a place that you’ve left for many years. I always have the feeling of going ‘home’, but the skeptical part of me held me back. I’m afraid of what people would think of me for coming back after all these years. I’m afraid that my friends would alienate me for leaving. I’m afraid I would be left alone should I decide to return. Little did I know that I would overcome these fears and make a comeback to the 33rd Incovar Dhamma Camp. Seriously, it’s not an easy feat to return. Just when I thought…

Schokolart, for the 2nd time <3

I love chocolate. Throw me a chocolate when I’m upset and I’ll be grinning from ear to ear later. Lol. Sat knew this weakness of mine, so he brought me to a chocolate-y restaurant last year. I fell in love with their chocolate drink that when the gang suggested for a place to meet up, I grabbed the opportunity to visit there again. Okay, this post is super backdated. We went on 28th June 2009 but somehow I’ve overlooked this post. Hmph. 6 of us went there and seated on this comfortable sofa. We took quite some time to order, since we’re quite…

i’m like a bird…

I always wish that I’m a bird, so that I could fly up and see the ground from above. My wish was granted – not being a bird, but having the ability of looking things from a ‘bird view’; many thanks to the 2nd Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Festival. You see, looking down from the plane window isn’t counted since sometimes you can see the ground, sometimes you can’t because of the clouds! Haha. So the day earlier, I purposely boarded the night bus all the way to Kuala Lumpur after work and bunked at my sis’s place for…

Indon I : The Journey

It’s been 10 months of emotional turbulence; but everything was paid off when I finally stepped my foot at the Penang International Airport on the night of 12th January 2010. Together with me were Sat, Ailing, Emily, Elise and Lasker. Our flight for KUL scheduled to fly off at 10.45pm was delayed an hour. But we weren’t bothered with the delay, for we have the whole night to kill. Everyone was pretty excited, tho some of us were dead tired due to rushing to airport from work. We sat at the tables of closed cafe, chatting about the baby being…

Snowflake in Subang!

Happy Boxing Day! Got gifts you don’t like/already have? Box them up and give them to needy ones!  When I was in Penang, I saw tremendous tweets/twipics posted by the tweetpeps on this place. Which made me think that this place is a MUST-visit the next time I go KL. So, when the guys planned of having CC outing in Sunway and my girlfriends asked me out for the night, I immediately suggested to my girlfriends to meet me up at Snowflake, since it’s just opposite the FTZ Cybercafe. Yes, it happened yesterday. I’m still in KL. This post is…

it’s a Schokolart-ey affair~*

After hearing about this mouth-watering food from blogs, ‘mouthes’ and even from MDG episodes, I was dying to drop by that place when I went down to KL last month. Coincidentally, B told me that he already booked a table for two at that place! *giggles* The power of telepathy really makes me wonder sometimes. Haha. Guided by GPS, we made our way to Mont Kiara there and reached the area at around 8 in the evening. The restaurant is situated on the same floor as Tenji, facing KLCC Twin Towers and KL Tower. We walked in where a waiter greeted us…
