Phuket III: sea canoeing at Phangnga bay

The next morning, both Kurubee and I reluctantly crawled out of the bed at 6.30 in the morning. Knowing that there’ll be a minibus picking us up at 7-7.15am, we immediately showered and packed few things to bring with us before rushing out to Bangla Road for our minibus. But our minibus didn’t come at that time. We got worried as we thought we might got cheated. So Kurubee immediately called the tour lady for confirmation and we were told to be patient as the minibus might be late as the driver needs to pick up people from other hotels as well. Hearing that,…

Phuket IV: Hello ladyboys!

It was a good refreshing shower after a long sweaty day out in the open sea. I took my own sweet time showering until Kurubee yelled, faster la. I want to shower also. Ops. After showering, I rested for a while as I was very tired before heading out for dinner. Managed to catch few winks and we were out on the streets again, looking for food. We walked towards the Thaveewong Road with hope to stumble upon cheap street food to fill our stomachs. There are many motor-stalls along the famous road, but they are mostly selling crepes, fruits and drinks. Suddenly…

back from great trip!

The month of December is definitely the month full of surprises. So many unexpected things cropped up – one of them happened 4 days ago: Phuket. This trip is so last minute, so unplanned with me doing all the bookings few days before flying. About to lose my mind for this, but I’m glad that I managed to pull this through. It was a well-deserving trip for me and my family. Phi-Phi shall be my little escapade in future. Definitely will be. Awesomest island. <3 Stay tune for the posts.

Phuket I: A little getaway

This getaway supposed to ‘happen’ last year, but due to series of weird encounters followed by my beloved grandma demise, this trip got pulled to a stop. So slightly more than a year later on 6th October, this trip initiated back. Yay! This is my cute travel partner.. kurubee .. which also happens to be the love of my life too, lol! And we flew in together from Penang to LCCT and boarded the afternoon flight to Phuket. It was a cloudy day when we arrived in Phuket International Airport (HKT). Couldn’t contain our excitement as it was the first time we…

xviii. Back to Malaysia

Came 13th July, the day we go back to the reality. That morning we woke up early, as we need to catch the 7 o’clock bus to Clark. However one room didn’t get the revised departure time; they went down half an hour earlier and Sat and I felt so guilty upon hearing that. That moment, I made up my mind to personally tell everyone on important stuff like ‘gather time’ rather than relying on the others to pass the message. We did quick check-out and then left GoHotels.Ph via taxi for Philtranco bus terminal at SM Megamall. Unfortunately the…

xvii. The day before flying home

We had one last meal in Northern Luzon heading back to Manila. After showering and packing, we headed back to the resort’s restaurant for lunch. We were truly reluctant to leave the place. Though we were supposed to clear our bills and checked out after lunch, but May and I went for a little more exploration around the resort. Both of us were curious on the number of rooms the resort has and also the vicinity of the resort as we’ve only seen the lobby, restaurant, pool and a row of rooms where we occupied two rooms out of the…

Sawadika!

Means Hello! Went to Phuket with Satkuru last Wednesday. A totally awesome trip. Ever-smiling, top notch service by the Thailanders. Made me went woahhh! with wonder many, many times. Seriously, I can’t wait to write about it once I finished up my Philippines trip. Meanwhile, do enjoy the video on the trip put together by Sat using his iPhone. ^^

xiv. Kapuluan Vista Resort

A gem yet to be discovered by public. A paradise hidden away from the common eyes. A heaven sanctuary we found further up the beautiful cove of Blue Lagoon. The resort that made us felt like staying in than out. The resort that spells Hospitality with capital H whose staffs treat resort guests with full of smile and polite. Dear all, I’ve decided to dedicate this entry to the resort as I totally fell in love with the resort the moment I reached the place. I knew that this place would be a good escape for us, especially those who…

xv. Kabigan Falls

The best thing about staying at a resort during holiday is able to spend some time swimming. I love swimming and it’s so unfortunate that I didn’t get to swim often. So seeing a swimming pool at Kapuluan Vista Resort, I wouldn’t have missed this good opportunity to swim! Hee! So the next morning, I woke up early as my mind already set on jumping in the pool the moment the pool is open at 7.30pm. I woke up, went down the stairs and found out that Jess wasn’t on the bed. I went to the toilet to relief myself and…

xvi. Paradise in Blue Lagoon

From young till now, mum always tells me story on her childhood life in a remote fishing village somewhere in Langkawi island. She would tell how near her house was to the sea; how she and her siblings would spend hours and hours at the seaside, catching fishes with their bare hands and swimming among the fishes. She would stress on how clear the water that time and is disappointed on the condition of the sea water. Being accustomed to the cloudy sea water, I too longing to see the crystal clear water that my mum mentions. I thought I’ve…
