Rounder tummy!

Hello there! It’s been quite some time and I have happy news to share! I’m expecting a baby and the pregnancy path has been smooth sailing (thankfully!!!) Baby in the womb has been co-operating, didn’t give me much pregnancy sickness except that my allergy flared up like crazeeeeee! Not to mention that some pimples have been appearing here n there on my face – BUT, it shall be worth it when the bb comes out later.  As for now, I shall be enjoying my pregnancy term as per advised by fellow mummies out there and look at lots, lots adorable…

Wedding: Finally I’m a married woman

Legally & Customarily. We’re now going into 3 weeks after our customarily wedding – both Indian & Chinese wedding. Still in wedding mood because I just can’t believe my wedding weekend went past by SO QUICKLY! I kept reminding myself to REMEMBER THE MOMENTS, ENJOY THE MOMENTS, “INHALE” THE MOMENTS – which I did for certain parts of the wedding and some parts remained blur images in my mind. Aih! Let’s see what I remember the most throughout the 3 days of wedding. Yes, I do remember the march in at the Indian temple; the moment I had to rush to change…

Wedding: It’s time for food-tasting!

We found this caterer from Cititel Hotel more than a year ago when scouting for proper location to house more than 80 tables. She offered us a hall, we couldn’t find other place so we took her offer – it was a win-win situation. Went few times to Cititel earlier this year to talk about the meal, deco and stuff – but believe me, you should only do the talking when it’s near your wedding date.In fact, wait for their call! Why? Because the earlier trips we made were pointless, we didn’t finalise anything until now. I was thinking the…

Hand bouquet

This post is supposed to be written 2 months ago, but due to hectic schedule it got delayed until now. From the time I submitted my form, I had about a month to find the perfect dress and hand bouquet. In the back of my mind, I had a vague vision of how my dress and bouquet are going to look like. Finding the dress that fits my vision is easy for there are plenty of shops that sell beautiful dresses and I found it at SA Creation. However, to ask someone to produce the hand bouquet of my vision…

Toba ep1: RM1/day trip

“Just save RM1 per day.“ That’s what Satkuru said when JJ asked 2 years ago in May on how much he should save for this 2 day 1 night trip. If you’re wondering how on earth do RM270 (following the save-1-ringgit-per-day rule) be sufficient for our Lake Toba trip, that’s because we’re doing it the real backpacking way. Oh well, not entirely the backpacking way since we stayed at the oh-so-nice-cottage. Heehee! Barely 2 months prior to flying had only Satkuru and I searched frantically for tour agency that can bring us to our destination dirt cheap. We found few…

Conversations in departure hall

While waiting for my flight back to Malaysia at the departure hall, I couldn’t help but overhear conversation by my fellow Malaysians sitting behind me. 3 young couples of early twenties were asking each other how much they have left from the trip and one by one they ‘announced’ out the amount. After they summed out the amount, one went to the money changer and asked for the exchange rate. The guys came back and told them the rate was 305 (100.000 rupiah ~ RM30.5) and were deliberating should they change their money here or back home. After quick discussion,…

Toba ep2: Beautiful Sipiso-Piso

From the previous post – Toba ep1: RM1/day trip After asking the local on the first destination for this trip, our driver finally found the entrance of Sipiso-Piso Waterfall. The entrance fees costs 30.000 Rupiah for all 13 of us and of course we had to pay 5.000 Rupiah for car park. That wasn’t included in the van package. We quickly got off the van and there it is, the stunning, long and narrow 120m waterfall. It’s unfortunate that it rained earlier as it made the water coming out off the cliff muddy. Nevertheless, the landscape is terrific! No wonder this…

Notorious Tour

The moment we heard that Russell Peters is coming over to Asia for spread some happiness over here, we were elated. Soon, the list of the stopover came out and to our dismay, Malaysia is not in the list! Thailand (Bangkok), Singapore and Indonesia (Jakarta) are in the list and Malaysia is none. Of course there are noise directly to Russell Peters himself via Twitter, so I was already checking out the ticket price in our neighbouring country – weighing which show would be cheaper overall (including hotel, accommodation and flight). When I told Satkuru of my decision, he said…

I could have give a little more of kindness

It has been raining almost daily in the wee hours of the morning since Monday. On Tuesday, I was debating with myself should I drive to work or take bus – somehow I decided to take bus. Like usual, I drove to the designated parking area and hoped that the rain could ceased a little so that my shoes won’t be that wet when I walked to the bus stop. Just when I moved my car into an empty lot, I saw this 40 something man walking out of his Mercedes Benz with ripped plastic bag on his head. He…

JPN05: Togetsukyo, Arashiyama

I’ve been reading about Arashiyama so much that I felt a sense of satisfaction and tingling of happiness when I was finally there. At the station, one can rent bicycle for Y300 or Y500. Satkuru wanted to cycle but I didn’t want to because it’s cold and the attraction is all walking distance. I even pointed to him that the Tenryu-ji temple is just 8 minutes walk from the station and his argument was because it’s just 8 minutes so we can cycle. At last we didn’t cycle (and I was happy to save that Y300 or Y500) and we…
