It happened to me twice in the office!
Month ago, a button on my shirt came out just like that! The thread on the 3rd button from the top got loose and poof! the button fell on the floor.
How I realise it?
As I wear smock all the time, I didn’t even realise it until when I was about to go to the toilet. I have this habit of taking off my smock before going to the toilet and thanks to the habit, I found out there’s a gap on my shirt and I was thinking, oh the button had came off. I quickly button it but to my horror, the button wasn’t there! So I looked around and there it was, lying on the floor. I took it up and called most ladies I know in the office for thread and needle.
But the thing is, nobody would bring needle and thread to work! So I had to opt for pin. Luckily a colleague has it, so my shirt malfunction was fixed for the day.
And I brought a box of sewing kit to work the next day – just in case!
Today, unfortunately and fortunately – it happened when I was in toilet for the last time in the office before heading home. Also, this time it was the button on my jeans. -.-”
Due to the fact that I want to avoid being stuck in a jam as there will be an unnecessary jam in front of the office at 6pm; I hurriedly went to the toilet, hurriedly unbuttoned my pants and hurriedly too the button came out. -.-”"”"”
I took a look at the button. Apparently the thread is too ‘sharp’ until it cuts through the button. Or maybe the button is too fragile. Like wtfish right? I guess cheap jeans from morning market uses cheap, fragile button too. Lol.
I knew I couldn’t just stitch the button back to my pants as there’s no holes for me to put the thread in. I had to pin them.
To think of it, both wardrobe malfunction are saved by pins! Maybe I should just stock in pins. Lol!
