Last month, I initiate a mini-project called ‘The Apreel Project‘. Did to kill time and of course gave this to someone. Haha!
It is actually simple to make. Just need a pair of gloves.
… and 3 buttons.
One needs to wash the gloves first, as it’s VERY SMELLY! Yucks. I soaked the gloves with detergent and Softlan and still the smell was still there. Only after 2-3 times of washing, the smell faded. Argh.
Then it’s all about cutting, and stuffing and stitching. My stitching skill gone bad as it’s been ages since I last stitched. But still, the quality I made is top-notch!
Or I proclaimed so as the receiver didn’t complain much, so I presumed it is. Hoho!
This Apreel project took me 3 days in the length of 2 weeks, for I stitched the head and body one day, the arms and legs on the other day, and assembled them all the following week. Slow, but steady.
I forgot to buy buttons for the eyes and nose. So I turned the whole house upside down, looking for 2 small matching black buttons and a big one. Luckily, I have to get two matching buttons or else Mr. Bear would have ‘cat eyes’. Imagine a bear with the eyes of a cat. It would be a weird species. Haha.
Here’s the end result.
Yeah, I know one leg is smaller than the other. Maybe I stuff more cotton there, it’ll be as big as the other leg! Haha.
Does he looks more like a bear or a dog?
